Student Writing and Artificial Intelligence: Problems and Possibilities after GPT-3

This workshop will brief administrators, faculty, and staff on the issues that recent advances in artificial intelligence might introduce to college writing pedagogy. We will consider the pedagogical possibilities and potential threats that large language models might have for the classroom. Before the workshop, anttendees are encouraged to register an account at openai.com, take some tutorials, and test the functionality of GPT-3 using the playground feature. This, however, is not a requirement for participation.
